Bucky Lonestar

In shelter Dog

Rockaway, NJ, 07866
Pet name:
Bucky Lonestar
Bucky Lonestar is an 8 month old boy that showed up as a stray at one of our volunteers rental properties. Her adult kiddos happen to live there, so they alerted her to this sweet boy & went about trying to find where he belonged. They live on a busy road & not in a neigborhood, so he was posted on all of the lost and found sites, scanned for a microchip (none) and no collar was on. Boo! No luck! None of the local vets recognized him & he did not "go home". So, after a week of keeping him safe in the fenced in yard & walking him daily in search of an owner, Bucky became a Lone Star Boy! He wasnt neutered either, so thats been taken care of & all vaccines done. So, hes ready for a family! Now, a family will need to continue working with him....its obvious he was loved because he is so very friendly and loves attention. However, he wasnt taught some manners, like "no jumping Up". He does know "sit" and "stay". He most likely was an outside dog as well, so patience in the home, please! He has not been introduced to the cat in the home, so we arent sure about cats. He has liked every dog he has come into contact with on walks and is playful with them. He is a bit rough in play, so a little breed dog may not be a good companion for him at this point. He loves all people hes come in contact with! Such a happy boy!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
