Please read the information on BAYLEE.. if interested please submit an application from our website https://www.houstonshaggydogrescue.org/apply/ This handsome poodle mix is approx 3 years and 40 lbs He was found laying in a ditch unable to move and taken to the local city shelter His x rays showed that his Sacrum had separated from his Lumbar Spine, he also had a bullet in him, but they did not feel that it was affecting his ability to walk, our orthopedic surgeon said it was an injury that was unable to be repaired We started him on some physical therapy and after a few days he was able to stand up and while his back legs remained crossed he was able to hop Around the yard We started him on a rehab program with the gulf coast physical therapy / sports rehab and after a few weekly sessions he is able to run around the yard like the other dogs , he has started to walk just like the other dogs as well and you would never know he was injured at one time he will go out to the yard with the other dogs to urinate etc but at night cannot control himself and he sleeps in a crate with a puppy pad..he is a sweet boy, he loves to be with people, he gets along with the other rescues but does not like big active dogs and will bark and chase them we had a special cart made for him so that he can go on long trips around the neighborhood or to the dog park etc.. he still prefers to walk on his own, but it works great for when he gets tired. he occasionally will have a mild seizure, it only lasts a minute and is soon over and has not affected him in any way. we do have videos avail for anyone interested in adopting him, he does have some urine staining on his back legs and body and most of it will come out when he gets a bath, but he is not perfect and an owner will need to give him weekly baths.
