Mickey, FeLV+, Forever Foster Needed (WG)

In shelter Cat

Willow Grove, PA, 19090
Pet name:
Mickey, FeLV+, Forever Foster Needed (WG)
Check out his cute video! Please meet Mickey (FCID# 08/09/2022 - 114)! He is a handsome brown tabby with white and weighs 8-9 pounds. He likes to have his head scratched and his chin rubbed.
Mickey came to us quite subdued. It turned out he was not feeling well. It wasnt long after he recovered. All of a sudden he was up and around. He now rushes to the front of his enclosure for pets and cuddles whenever anyone enters the room . He loves caresses from head to tail. He also enjoys to have a person stand/sit next to him while he eats.

Mickey tested positive for FeLV. Although FeLV+ cats live shorter lives, they generally have several great years in their new home. They should either be the only cat in the home, or live with other FeLV+ cats as the virus is easily transmitted via saliva.
Mickey has tested slightly positive for FeLV and will be retested in 6 weeks (mid-September). We may need a forever foster. Ashlyn and Hickory are looking for forever fosters. FeLV is very contagious to other felines. So, these special kitties need to be an only cat OR with with other FeLV+ cats.
Mickey and Ashlyn are in our Willow Grove, PA clinic/shelter. Hickory is in our Trainer, PA clinic/shelter. Thank you for considering. . (Foster: Willow Grove)

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
