Phelps spent a whopping 210 days in the shelter before finally being sprung by a foster family! The shelter made him extremely stressed, very reactive towards the dogs, and he was rapidly losing weight. 40 days in a foster home so far, and life is good for Phelps!! He is loving his walks and carries his favorite toy everyone and is no longer reactive to other dogs! His favorite activities include going for walks, car rides, and watching Animal Planet!! His most endearing trait is how loving he is as he showers you with kisses. He sometimes forgets he is 70 lbs, and can be a bit clumsy (LOL!) is both crate and potty trained. His foster family rarely crates him anymore as he is very well behaved and prefers to nap on the couch! He lives as an only dog but has met the neighbor dogs through the chain link fence with little to no reaction, quite a change from the dog we knew in the shelter. Phelps is a happy boy, quite the lover, and will come with his favorite walking buddy (his stuffed animal friend!!)
