Description:
Found by a Good Samaritan in Rockwall, Dude was skin and bones and tested heartworm positive. Although he was clearly starving, all he wanted was pets and cuddles and to be with a person. Hes never shown any resource guarding tendencies and is truly a "mans best friend". Hes been successfully treated for heartworms and will be tested again when time appropriate, to make sure hes clear.

Still full of puppy playfulness, Dude is not aware of his own size and his eagerness to engage in play will easily overwhelm a toddler. So hell do best in a home with a nice size back yard and a playmate equal to his energy level would be a bonus. He has no experience with cats. Until you are his pack leader, hell be eager to dart out any open door, so training him to listen (just like any puppy or dog) will be paramount in him being successful in his new home. This breed make great family dogs and Dude is in need of a few good belly rubs.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
