Description:
Hi! My name is Popcorn because of my beautiful yellow colors

I was rescued from a pet store and transferred to the rescue to help me find a forever home that is ok with a delightful dragon that has special needs.

I have a mild case of Muscular Dystrophy, or MD. As a young one, I am happy and still growing! Other than some limitations with the use of my limbs, I am very healthy and I am looking for a family who wants to interact with me often. I am pretty capable and can climb and get around no problem.

Fun fact about me! I am a Yellow Flare which accounts for my really cool patterns! I am considered a juvenile so I am still learning to be handled and to be with my people. Though for my age I am doing fantastic in terms of being social! It means I get to see and explore new things and that makes me happy!

My foster mom says Popcorn is gentle and likes to be handled. A great pet for children or families - our 5 kids, even the very little ones, handle the reptiles and have never been scratched or bitten. They are quite friendly, and the handling is very good for them!

One thing you can count on though is Im a great eater! Right now I still eat 80% protein and 15% veggies and 5% fruit. At about 4 yrs of age when I am double my current size this will switch to 15% protein, 80 veggies, and 5% fruits.

As a beardie, I require my own habitat as we do best housed individually from my age forward. With the right diet, habitat, substrate, temperature, and humidity I can live a long and healthy life of up to 12 to 14 years! Dont worry, the rescue will provide you with all of the information that you will need to prepare for my arrival.

If you think we may be a good match, or you would like to get to know me better, please click the Adoption Application button below my bio on the rescue website, here is the link > https://www.smallbreedrescue.org/Home/AnimalDetails/4296
