PLEASE READ: WE ONLY ADOPT IN THE FOLLOWING AREA: Ohio. For those in Kentucky there is a Kentucky Dachshund Rescue. We have been doing rescue for over 25 years. All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter / kennel, so there is no facility you can visit. We require a secure, physically fenced-in yard --- with no exceptions, no electronic. If you have a pool that is not separate from the area the dog will have access to, your application will be declined. We do require a vet reference and a home visit prior to adopting our dogs. Anyone over 25 may apply. We may consider adopting to a family with children over 6 years of age. Our adoption fees are: Pups 0-2 years. - $350.00. Young dogs 2-8 years - $300.00. Adult dogs 8-10 years - $275. Senior dogs 10-12 - $250. Older dogs over 12 years - $150. Included in the adoption fee for the dogs is a two-month supply of heartworm prevention, flea prevention, along with a HUG-a-Dog harness and leash. Please do not email for an adoption application. Applications are received at our web site: dachshundrescueofohio.org. Thank you.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an
internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet
Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or
involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery
Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet
owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such
as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the
program.
