Good Neighbors Animal Rescue

Adoption policy

Our Mission .... is being a Good Neighbor! GNAR is here to support the good Samaritans who care for our community’s homeless pets. We serve animal-loving neighbors to care for and find permanent, loving homes for stray pets in need. How are we different from other animal welfare groups? Our mission is to keep animals out of overpopulated shelters - we don’t rescue animals from shelters ~ we prevent them from ending up there. We help those who have found and taken in a stray, or need to rehome their own pets in a safe, responsible way. GNAR’s all-volunteer members arrange spay, neutering, and vaccinations for all fostered pets, and other medical needs as required, such as heartworm treatment or surgery for injured animals. GNAR adoption fees cover only a fraction of these costs; the balance is made up by donations. Please be a donor! Tax deductible! 501c3 nonprofit charity. Donations can be made via PayPal at Www.goodneighborsanimalrescue.org/donate or Venmo @goodneighbors-animalrescue GNAR also helps coordinate TNR – Trap, Neuter, Release – for feral cat colonies, which over time decreases the number of strays in need of adoption, while enabling unadoptable cats to live out their lives in the location where they feel secure.
