Our\xa0Wantagh Adoption Center is now operating a full fledged dog and cat shelter in Wantagh and is located at the old Bide-a-wee shelter - 3300 Beltagh Avenue off of Wantagh Avenue. We are always looking for volunteers for our cat and dog programs as well as our fundraising committee so please stop by and visit our facility - we hope you like it as much as we do!!\xa0 \xa0 \tLAST HOPE, INC. is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization incorporated in 1982, that is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of death-due pound rescued animals in our small adoption centers; the homes of volunteers or at participating veterinarians. We raise money for our rescue efforts through fundraisers such as flea markets, auctions, luncheons, dinners, raffles and mailings. \tWe are always in need of volunteers to help with adoptions, walk dogs, clean, do light repair work and foster/socialize cats, kittens and dogs.
