Adoption policy

Animal F.A.I.R. (Foundation for Animals in Risk) is a group of dedicated volunteers rescuing cats from abuse, abandonment, neglect, illness and more. We are a non-profit, no kill animal rescue group based in Sedalia, (Central ) Missouri. We are registered and licensed in the State of Missouri. Our mission is to nurture and care for homeless felines until a loving and suitable forever home can be found. Our rescues are placed in foster homes until an acceptable permanent adopter can be selected. Under our care they are tested for all feline diseases, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and a microchip for identification is placed. We promote responsible pet ownership and encourage spay/neuter to control pet overpopulation. Our organization has been in operation since 2003. We are a very small core group of volunteers handling adoption events, fundraising, care giving, and an array of other duties to properly care for the animals we take in. Our adoption fees range from $65.00 for adult felines older than one year to $105.00 for kittens. All fees include full veting and microchip placement. Should you wish to apply for an adoption please email us at or call our Adoption Director Nancy Curtiss, President at 660-826-5680. We will respond promptly to your request. You can help us help them by making any donation possible. Kitten Season is upon us and very soon our fiscal and human resources will be challenged. Your donation will help support the care and placement of our animals in a “forever home”. If you would like to make a donation it can be done through Pay Pal. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
