Chunky and Charlie

In shelter Bird

Hightstown, Mercer County, New Jersey...
Pet name:
Chunky and Charlie
Budgie, Budgerigar
Chunky (Female, English Budgie, Blue and white in color) and Charlie (Male, Green and yellow in color) are two beautiful parakeets. They both are very playful and active. They love when their foster mom opens their enclosure's door so they can play and sit on top of it. They sometimes love to be hand fed especially from their young (human) foster brother's hand. Chunky loves to sit on the swing. They do get along with two other budgies in their foster home.

The pair spend their day watching the outside birds, eating and preening.  They are in their foster home's family room, so when they are home, they do have company about and someone watching/interacting with them.

A linen towel is kept on the top of their cage during the day to give them a “roof”.  Once their cage is covered for the night (around 8:30-9 PM), they are quiet till morning (around 6-6:30AM). They are never covered during the day.

Chunky & Charlie have been disease tested and will be adopted with her cage, toys, perches and food to get his forever home started.

Chunky & Charlie are
being fostered in Budd Lake, NJ and will only be adopted to a forever home within easy driving distance.
For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated private foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA, we do not have a central location.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
