Description:
Stella has been patiently waiting for her forever family for over 12 months, 365+ days, which is a long time in dog years. In early 2020 Stella was returned to our rescue when her family could no longer care for her. She has been doing great in her Binghamton, NY area foster home, but she is ready to find her forever home.

Her foster mom says: "Stella is super shy and can take a while to warm up to new people. Stella is super smart, and sweet, and loyal to her people once she knows them. She knows all her basics commands, is crate trained, and loves walks and being outside, her favorite thing is to lay on the deck and watch the deer on the lawn as they walk by."

Stella doesn't have a lot of dog-to-dog experience so she might be happiest as your one and only. However, Stella has proved to be good with her foster's cats. Stella is an easy-going homebody who would be happy just going for walks, hanging out with her people on the couch. Stella needs her own special person in order to be her best self. Please consider giving this sweet girl a second chance. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary. Vet references are required and prior to adoption a home inspection will be conducted. Transport options available. Adoption fee applies.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
