Meet Pria!! Pria had a rough start in life and lived her first two years on a chain with very little attention and socialization. She was absolutely petrified of people when first rescued.  Her fosters have worked very hard for the past 11 months to help her feel safe, loved and accepted and she has learned to be more confident and comfortable around new people.  She is still a little skittish and takes a little time to fully warm up to new people, but after a couple of hours, she is ready to start giving you some love.   The ideal home will be fairly quiet with very few visitors, maybe someone who works from home or is retired, and with someone who will be patient with her to give her time to warm up and eventually bond with on her own timing. Due to Pria’s lack of socialization when with her previous owners, she needs to be the only dog in the home and we kind of feel she deserves all the love anyway. Pria has done great with the fosters’ cat after being properly introduced.  She has not been around small children and due to her fears, we feel it would be best if she lived with older, respectful children as long as they’re caring, compassionate & patient with her. Pria is a very sweet girl and has a lot of love to give and we feel she deserves the perfect fit home to help her continue gaining confidence and where she feels safe and loved. Her foster added the following statement: “Pria has been great with the cat after careful and patient introductions. We took it really slowly because she has an incredible prey drive and chases things that run. Lol. She's also very smart and eager to learn. So with the right training, I think she will be able to overcome any shortcomings.” Pria is 3 years old, approx 50 pounds, fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and has been on slow kill heartworm treatment for the past year. If interested in meeting Pria, please complete our application at and one of our volunteers will review it and contact you within 3-4 days. Located in Mobile, AL.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
