Confident is a 2 year old, 20 lb girl. She looks like a beagle/chihuahua/dachshund mix. White and tan coloring.  She was abandoned when her family moved.  She is glad to have a temporary home at B&B making human and k-9 friends, getting regular meals and all her medical needs met.  She came with 2 pups: Fabulous (adopted) and Mahvelous (still available). She likes people and wants to be around them.

She has been doing ok with dogs so far, having met some of our smaller and nicer ones. But she did have a fight with another dog before she came here, over the puppies.

Each adoption includes at least two dewormings, all vaccines: rabies, DA2PPv + boosters, Bordatella x 2, microchip, new leash and collar, training book authored by Terri Steuben +++ lotsa love.

To get an appointment, email your application and wait for email reply.  See "adopt a dog" section of beaglesandbuddies.com for app form.  Indicate your 1st and 2nd choice of day/time for appt....Fri, Sat, Sun for 1 hour, from 10 am to 2 pm.  Pls be patient, we have limited volunteers and staff.  If you want to volunteer, complete and email that form as well - join in the fun, soak up love from these dear dogs.*Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.*

B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing.

For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.  
Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and go up to $750. The higher end is for our most in demand dogs, such as young beagles and other purebred dogs. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. For puppies, we may go beyond this and charge $1000. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!

Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Please email us for an appointment and include your application (found on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under "Forms"). Most appointments will be Friday through Sunday, though other days may also be available. We usually schedule one appointment per hour. Allow 1-2 hours for your appointment. Please look at our website and make a list of one or more dogs that you would like to see.
