Description:
Paloma is a female Boxer mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Paloma is 5 years old at the time of intake in May 2020. Paloma is good with people of all ages and other dogs.  You can see the heartbreak in Paloma's eyes which tell the story of a loveless life of neglect and abuse at the end of a short, heavy logging chain.  But when we convinced Paloma's owner to surrender her to us, we saw a sparkle in Paloma's eye that was never there before. Paloma's story becomes even sadder as once we rescued Paloma, we discovered this senior girl was pregnant. Again. None of Paloma's puppies survived as a result of her poor physical condition.  And that closes the sad chapters in Paloma's life.  From now on, Paloma's life will be filled with love, happiness, soft beds, toys, treats and a forever family who will cherish her.  Paloma is a laid back, low maintenance, quiet lady who is happy with a few walks a day.  She would be happy as a solo doggy, or with a doggy sibling her size or larger. Paloma
mostly likes to cuddle on the couch and nap. You will not regret making this sweet girl a part of your family!
If you can love Paloma so fiercely that it will make her forget the first 5 years of her life, then perhaps you are the family Paloma deserves.  Please apply online to adopt Paloma at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.

RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
