Description:
Meet Marzipan, She is a full sized hen who is mostly black with some whitish speckling on her chest. She is a mixed breed girl who has only been with us for a couple of weeks. She came to us as a stray from Animal Control. She is an adult, though we are uncertain of her age. She is still laying, (large brown eggs) but not frequently (1-2 per week). During her stay we have paired her up with a rooster. They do not need to go home together but she is cohabitating nicely with him.Marzipan has been tested negative for Salmonella Pullorum and Avian Influenza. For more information on Marzipan, or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. The Animal Rescue League of Boston is currently open by appointment only (subject to change), Tuesday through Sunday from 1:00pm-6:30pm, excluding some holidays. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
