* PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO BEFORE APPLYING FOR ELLIE & FRANK WHO ARE A BONDED PAIR. THEY NEED A SINGLE FAMILY HOME (NO APARTMENT, CONDOS OR TOWNHOMES)WITH A FENCED YARD NO PETS AND NO CHILDREN*
Ellie came to Little Paws with her bonded mate, Frank. Both were neglected, and Ellie has been learning to trust in her foster home. Ellie has made good progress but will need a very patient adopter with dachshund experience who can continue her training. She has some resource guarding behavior that you will need to work with a dog trainer to correct. A patient but firm adopter is imperative to continue her progress. Frank & Ellie can be vocal, so a single-family home is required. They love adult humans and need to be the only dogs in the home. Ellie loves to snuggle under the blankets or right on your lap. Frank & Ellie, both six years old, will be adopted together. Ellie is the more energetic of this duo; they are active and playful. These smart, curious pups will be wonderful companions for someone who understands that structure and training is important for them to thrive.
If you have room in your home for both Frank and me and would like additional information about us, please contact my foster Dad Steve at   spamram@pobox.com
You can find the adoption application at: http://littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724  The adoption fee for Ellie & Frank is $275 (for each dog). $450 (for both dogs). If the dogs are adopted over a state line, there will be a $45.00 charge (for each dog) for a health certificate (required by law).

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
