In shelter Cat

Acme, Michigan, 49610
Pet name:
Dilute Tortoiseshell, Mixed
Gray (Mostly)
Coat length:
Babe has lovely greenish eyes and a sultry way of looking at you as if saying, "Aren't I pretty?"

Babe was a neighborhood stray, probably abandoned, given food and an insulated box by a woman who worried about her being out in the cold and appearing sick. Since the woman's allergies meant she couldn't keep Babe, she surrendered her to AC PAW. Babe's first vet visit showed she had an upper respiratory infection that was treated with antibiotics. Her true age is unknown, but the vet thinks she is 10 or 12.

Babe is FIV positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which means she is more susceptible to infections and diseases and has to be an indoor cat. FIV can be transmitted to other cats through deep bites. Since Babe does not like other cats and will chase and attack them, she should be an only cat. She doesn't like the young dog at her foster home but would probably be okay with an older dog that wouldn’t bother her.

Babe enjoys a place in the sun! During her bursts of energy, she skitters the rug and jumps  enthusiastically  onto or into one of her favorite spots. She loves her cat grass and being petted, rubbed, and scratched. She has a grateful nature. With time, she will visit you throughout the day, talking with her tail and voicing her need for interaction or whatever the situation may be. She is a very affectionate, curious cat who loves to be held and will sit in your lap for as long as you like while her non-stop purring lets you know that she’s a happy girl. Like most cats she can be a bit aloof at times, and even a bit sassy. Also like many cats, she has a habit of nipping when she decides she is done with petting. She bites out of over-stimulation, not aggression.

Babe has nice size paws and loves expressing herself with them! Her petite body is beautifully covered with long, fluffy, dilute torty fur.

Babe is happy now to be living in a warm foster home waiting for just the right forever person to come along.
She still has a lot of life left to live. With proper care in a loving, adult home, Babe will enjoy a long healthy life!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
