Molly (“The Unsinkable Molly Brown”)
Hi loving kitty people! My name is Molly; I am a beautiful 7-8 year old Domestic Long hair brown tabby with white kitty with green eyes. I’m told by my foster mom that I am a super easy kitty! I am calm and enjoy my featherbird toys, good catnip and to play with long ribbons that you run along the floor as well as the occasional ball chase. I am very good about using my scratch posts.
My foster Mom has been working to increase my weight. I have a bit of a sensitive tummy, so only certain foods agree with my tummy. I was just 4# when Community Cat rescued me and was very matted. Foster Mom worked a little every night for a few weeks to get through some mats which I tolerated very well. The vet said it would be best to shave some parts and they are now grown back! I LOVE to be brushed!  Ooooo it feels so good!
I find a spot in the sun and pretty much keep to myself unless you are doing something where there might be a spot for me close to you. I will often sleep on the bed with you! I will chase the occasional ball but am not as crazy active as a baby kitty. I would enjoy sitting next to you when you are watching TV or on the computer, anywhere I can find a nice warm spot, (especially if it’s in the sun!).
I would do best in a home without active younger children as I am still quite a tiny girl. I am very calm and quiet, you can barely hear my meows! I would love a quiet house and am totally ok with my Australian Shepherd foster brother because he is very respectful of me. Sometimes I get the zoomies and run around the house, but mostly I am quiet and extremely sweet! I like to have two litter boxes and I really prefer they both cleaned once per day.
My foster Mom thinks I would do ok with another calm older cat as well as cat-respective dog. I’m being fostered in the Franklin area.
If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: https://www.commcat.org/copy-of-adopt-a-bff

Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the cats that interest you. All of our cats and kittens are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect cat! Cats are rarely caged (only if its medically necessary) so you can visit with them and see how they act in a home.

 Our adoption fees:
Kittens (under 6 months): $100 (or 2 for $150)
 Adults (6 months to 7 years): $50 (or 2 for $50)
Seniors (8 years and up): $25 (or 2 for $25).

All cats are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies (if age appropriate) and distemper, and microchipped.
