Description:
Hi, my name is Poet and I'm about 2 3/4 years old.  I was originally surrendered to Bond County Humane Society when I was about 8 weeks old.  A man found me in an abandoned car and temporarily took me to his home to make sure I was going to be ok.  He couldn't keep me so he surrendered me to BCHS so I could find a loving home.  I was adopted to a family in December 2018. In October 2020 I was returned to BCHS because the family that adopted me is moving and can't take me with them.  I am now living back in my original foster home.  My foster mom says I am independent and loving at the same time.  I really enjoy napping in the hammock on one of the cat trees at my foster home.  I also like to hang out and lay alongside my foster parents or on their legs.   My very favorite game to play is Fetch.  Yes, you heard me right, Fetch.  In my case I like to dip one of  two toys in the water bowl then bring it over to someone for them to throw it.  Sometimes I run after it, but more often I walk after it and then bring it back.  I have a mild personality and I am OK living with other cats, but I would probably prefer to be an only cat.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped. My adoption fee is $55. If you are interested in adopting me please complete an adoption profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohs.petfinder.com.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.    A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds or returns is available upon request.
