***Thank you for your interest in Magnificent Mutts and Meows.  We hope everyone is saying safe during this challenging time.  Due to the current regulations set forth by Governor Pritzker on group gatherings we will not be having adoption events until further notice.  As an all foster based rescue this means that all meets will be by appointment only.  Your whole family must be available to attend the meet as there will be no second meets scheduled to help limit contact between our team and the public.  There may be limits as to how many family members can enter a store at one time. You will be given instructions about the meet and greet at a later date. To help streamline the process please make sure your current pets are up to date on vaccines and spayed or neutered, you have landlord/HOA approval, and that you are prepared to take the cat or kitten home with you immediately before submitting an application. Hello, my name is Thunderstruck and I am doing amazingly well in my foster homes. I came into the city shelter with my three kittens. All three kittens found wonderful new homes. My foster mom says I am a very smart cat. I love to play with a toy mouse that is attached to a pole. I show my affection by weaving between your legs and by rubbing my head against your hand. I am a good jumper and like to perch up high. I love being near you but don’t always need you paying me attention. I do prefer to keep all four feet firmly on the ground. Experienced cat people preferred. Thunderstruck prefers to be the only cat in the home. She views other cats as competition. Possibly ok with a respectful dog. Kids 10 years and up as I still need my space respected.

*Thunderstruck did have her left ear tipped during her spay surgery. It means she is fixed and is commonly done with cats housed in outside cat colonies.

Please consider adopting an adult cat. Adult cats have known and set personalities and activity levels. What you see is what you get in terms of looks and sizes. They have current core vaccines, have been spayed or neutered, FeLV and FIV tested, dewormed, and microchipped. Many of them have spent time in foster care or store adoption centers so we know these cats and can guide you to the right companion for you and your household.
