Name: Calinda DOB:4/14/20 Weight: 8lbs  Adoption Fee:   $150 Mom ‘n Me Program:  Adopt a kitten at regular price ($200) & mom comes with for just $25 Hi, my name is Calinda which means Sun in Hindi.  I originally came from the reservation out west.  My five kittens came with me and have been adopted.  The vetting staff thought I was pregnant when I went in to be spayed.  Luckily they were wrong.  Long story short, they discovered I have an enlarged colon and a hernia.  During my spay, the vet removed a few bad teeth & fixed my hernia.  I’m fully recovered and doing great.  My foster mom says I’m a protective momma kitty.  She noticed I seemed down after my kittens were adopted so she decided to introduce two other foster kittens to me, Socks and Boots.  I immediately perked up.  I love being a momma but no more babies in my future. Instead, I’m looking for a home with no other cats because I’d really like to be adopted with a kitten like Boots or Socks.  There are other cats in the house and I’m not a big fan.  There’s a dog too but we haven’t been introduced.  Slow supervised intros are recommended.  I’m shy at first but love to be pet. Im ready to find a home & humans for myself and a kitten, hopefully Boots or Socks since I already know them.    An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal.  Please check out our website, for more details and additional pictures on any of our animals! All Ruff Start dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention (dogs) as well as heartworm tested (dogs). Ruff Start Rescue is a foster based rescue. Animals are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a facility where animals are kept. Ruff Start Rescue Criteria for Adoption:

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
