Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.  Lee County Animal Shelter reached out to us with an enormous plea. All shelter cats were in jeopardy of being euthanized due to overcrowding and in a desperate attempt to clear the long term residents, they reached out to our rescue. Basically, if we didn't take from the list that week, the cat wasn't guaranteed to be there the next. However, these are some of the most wonderful cats you'll meet. After spending months and months in cages, they were brought to our Long Island foster homes where the each await their families!  JORDAN is one sweet gal who wants to love on her humans. After being in a cage for months, she is enjoying her freedom...and the couch. She has made herself right at home, has fit in with ease and her foster family is showering her with love that she is soaking up. She just wants to lounge with you- that can't be too much to ask for? Now we understand it is kitten season and everyone wants teeny tiny, but don't overlook any of these perfect cats.  They deserve someone's love too.  She/He is ready to find her/his forever home.  She/He is spayed/neutered FIV/LEUK negative, UTD on vaccines for her/his age, dewormed, and microchipped.   Our cats (and rescue) are located on Long Island, NY, and YES, we do adopt out of state within reasonable distance! For more information, more pictures, inquiries and applications about our cats, please visit LCARescue.org At the time of adoption a donation is required before the animal is placed in an adoptive home.     $400 - All dogs  $250 - For dogs deemed seniors by LCAR (generally 7 yrs and older)  $150 - For senior citizens (over 65 yrs of age) adopting senior dogs   $150 - For Saint Francis Farm Resident dogs  $150 - For Kittens $100 - For Cats    *IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS ANIMAL, PLEASE SUBMIT  AN ADOPTION APPLICATION  ( Dog / Cat )  AND ONCE APPROVED, SOMEONE FROM THIS ORGANIZATION WILL CONTACT YOU. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
