Hello everyone! My name is Sweetie and I am a beautiful 63 pound golden Shepherd and I get my name because I'm sweet and have so much love to give.

I am estimated to be about 3 years old and I still have lots of energy ! I came into Freedom a couple of weeks ago after my owner passed away and I had been uprooted from everything I knew. My foster mom and dad have been working with me to trust and feel comfortable with new people! I just loooove to go outside and go for walks!

I live in a foster home with my foster sister (a dachshund) who I want to play and run around the yard with. I do have a seven year old human foster sister who I love and want to pet me all the time. I also like to watch her ride her bike! I am a people person when I start to open up and feel comfortable - it just takes a little time.. so please be patient with me.

I am still young and energetic and would love an active home or a playful fur sibling! I am crate and potty trained, know basic commands and love dog treats.

If you think you can offer me my furever home, please reach out to your adoption coordinator. If you do not yet have an adoption coordinator, please complete an adoption application at

I am being fostered near Fayetteville, NC

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
