Description:
Indy is one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet! She is around a year and a half old and weighs close to 50 pounds. She LOVES people and is happiest when she’s able to cuddle with you. She also loves to play with dogs, but she does need a quick, proper introduction. She will bark at first meeting, but warms up within seconds. Indy puts up with her 100-pound foster brother’s antics and will match his rough play. She is crate and house trained, but she will try to escape from her crate every now and then. She will occasionally chew things, like sandals , so it’s best she’s crated when unsupervised. We have been working on her manners and so far she knows: sit, crate, and stay. She will need a little extra help with her jumping- she just gets so excited when people first come in the house. I think she is part kangaroo as she likes to hop fences- but not to run away..she just wants to go play with her doggy friend next door! Indy would do great with another dog in the house, but she could also learn to be the only dog. She has not been tested with cats. She did meet a few smaller children and was very gentle with them. Overall, she will be a great addition to a family and will give you all of her love! If you think you can offer Indy her furever home, please reach out to your adoption coordinator. If you do not yet have an adoption coordinator, please complete an adoption application at www.freedomgermanshepherdrescue.org Indy is being fostered near Charlotte. **Our volunteers process applications as quickly as they can, however it can take a little time. For this reason, the specific dog you apply for may not be available by the time your application is processed. If that happens we will do our best to find another perfect match for your family.**

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
