Hi! My name is Astrid! I'm a 5 year old Great Dane. My attitude is as flashy as my colors! I know everyone is looking for a home right now and so am I! I'm looking for a home with a yard because I love to have the zoomies and run around playing. I love to go for walks when its not to hot out (I don't like the heat very much). I also love sprinklers, pools, and anything with a good squeaker. I like kids but I can get overwhelmed when everyone keeps running up in my face all the time, because of this I prefer older kids to little ones. 
I don't like cats, their shifty eyes make me nervous and lets be honest, they poop in boxes... it's weird! I'm fully vaccinated, spayed, and have had my stomach tacked. 
I do try sneaking out if we're being honest. So if you leave the door or gate open I'm gonna do my best to sneak by you and zoom around.
I love my kennel cause it's my safe space and of course its where my blankie is. I do love sleeping on couches so if you don't allow that I'll tolerate your choice and lay on a dog bed or in my kennel.
I would prefer to be the only dog in your home as I have been waiting to find a home a long time and I think after all this waiting I deserve all the attention, don't you? 
I don't really care to have doggie friends but if we see another pup out on a walk I will listen to a strong leader with good leash walking skills and be polite. I don't feel a human that has never owned a dog before or is not familiar with training large dogs would be my person. I'm looking for someone who will continue my training and help me grow! I'm all about self improvement and I love to learn new things!
Being at the shelter has been hard on me and I've had a hard time staying at a healthy weight while I've been here, so I will need some TLC once I get home to put on a few pounds.
I can sometimes have a sensitive tummy so eating a high fiber, good quality food is really important to me!
