Description:
Hi, my name is Kiwi!  I love kisses, playing tug of war, snuggling, and taking long naps in my humans lap (although i'll nap in my crate if a human lap isn't available).   I also love playing with toys, any toys, all toys, yay toys!  My  favorite thing in the whole world is car rides, though!  It doesn't matter where we're going, as long as I can ride in the car with you!
I am crate trained and house trained! I'd do best without small children because I have a big puppy personality so I'm  still learning to keep all 4 paws on the ground when I get too excited. Even though I am a very hyper puppy, that also means I am a great running buddy! I need a little help with leash manners, but trust me I'll run with you as long as you want if you'll have some patience!!
I've been in rescue since I was a little puppy. I was found in the middle of the street with my brother, and I was so sick and unhealthy that I had almost no hair! I grew up with a lot of anxiety because of this but in my 2 years in rescue I've gotten a lot of training to help with my anxiety. I still need a close eye on me with other dogs when I'm in my house, so I would be best in a single dog home, but I promise to do my ABSOLUTE BEST to be on my best behavior if you have some patience and love for me!
I can't wait to meet my forever family, who I will love more than ANYTHING!! Please give me a chance to show you that I can be the best companion ever! Will you give me a shot??
Please contact   app@aarfhouston.org  for more information about this dog.    You can apply online by clicking on     Application     . Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events.    Thank you for considering a rescue! The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.
Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
