Thank you for your interest in adopting or fostering. Rescuing one cat won't change the world, but it will change the world for that cat.
Sweet Claire is eager to land in a stable home in which she can really begin her life. Up until recently, her life has been in uproar. She was found living in squalor in an abandoned house months after her owner was incarcerated. She landed with a kind woman with 5 kids and was good with the children but uneasy about their father and soon developed guarding behaviors towards him. She was then brought into our rescue and has made huge strides with her new foster family. She will need a person or family who can continue to help her learn. She loves fetching and is learning taking walks can be fun. She is larger than she seems in photos. She weighs 70 pounds but is not very tall. She is young (we think she is about 2 yrs old) so has her whole life ahead of her and she would love to spend it being your best friend!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an
internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet
Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or
involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery
Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet
owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such
as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the
program.
