Description:
Meet Blossom! This joyful, sweet girl was rescued from living outdoors in a filthy pen and is flourishing in her foster home. She is looking and feeling great after cherry eye surgery, and is proving to be a very social, playful pup. She has quickly acclimated to home life and loves being part of a family. Her foster home includes a couple, two dogs, and multiple cats.

Her foster mom, Kendall, checked in to share this update:

"Blossom is a very affectionate and sweet pup. She loves to be with her people and is definitely a lap dog, but will also settle down on a fluffy blanket on the floor beside you. Her love of toys is amazing, she cherishes them and takes one wherever she goes. She doesn't seem to have a preference on type, she loves them all! She loves to chew too, and might start to chew on a shoe so you have to watch her. She is quick to stop when you give her toys. She's a little puppy-like in that she is still learning the rules of home life.

She really enjoys being around my dogs, and would benefit from having a pup playmate in her next home.  At first my dogs were not interested in her playful energy and would bark at her, but that didn’t phase Blossom, she just goes about her day. Now that she's settled in, my dogs like her and have started to engage with her in play. Blossom was a little anxious being left alone the first few days but now that really improved too now that she knows we are coming back for her. I think the other dogs really help with that too.

Blossom's house manners have been pretty good so far….NO potty accidents in the house. She's been following the other dogs and going outside in the backyard. We use the crate at night and she does fine. She doesn't like to go in willingly, but settles and sleeps through the night without issue. She is learning basic commands and knows how to sit, but will jump on you when she's excited. She is very gentle otherwise, and I could see her being great with kids. She is learning how to walk on leash, and will pull, but this is all new to her.

Blossom was extremely curious about our cats at first, but she's been doing so much better with them and really loves them. She just doesn't understand her size and scares them when she wants to play. Her behavior is definitely more playful and curious and she has not shown any aggression with them.

Overall, Blossom is a social, happy, playful dog with a moderate energy level. She needs her daily exercise and playtime, but basically as long as she has enough toys, she's happy on the couch too."
