Description:
ABOUT SELINA: Zoom, zoom, zoom! Look at her go! Selina loves to run around the yard, especially when playing chase with her canine friends. Selina is a medium to large dog and a sturdy 56 pounds. Selina was seized in a cruelty case and rescued by the SPCA of Texas in October of 2019. She was catatonic at first and didn't know how to walk on leash or show interest in socializing people - sometimes barking to keep them at bay. However, with time, patience, and hard work from staff, Selina has progressed enough to be ready for her forever home! She will now walk on leash and has started to make human friends and will even nuzzle them for attention. Staff is obsessed with her pretty red color, "kangaroo ears," and the cute little white stripe and mohawk on her head. FOSTER TESTIMONIAL: Selina spent time in a foster home and loved sharing her bed with the other dog in the home. Selina was house trained and did well on walks. She loves sun bathing in the back yard. Her favorite things are cheese flavored treats and plush squeaky toys. Selina uses her chew toys and enjoys being a part of the human/dog pack, even if she doesn't always seek out attention. HOME NEEDS: Selina needs a quiet and calm environment and a house with a securely fenced yard. She can still become overwhelmed at times and will need a patient family who will give her plenty of time to acclimate to a place. Everyone in the household needs to meet Selina before she goes home.KIDS: Teens 15 years and up or Adult Only home please!DOGS: Selina LOVES playing with other dogs and having a friendly, confident dog in the home to help her adjust is a requirement.COPY/PASTE this link into your browser to see more photos and videos of Selina: https://bit.ly/2UDlUPDSPECIAL NOTE: Adopters get to take Selina on a test drive!
