Gem is 2-4 years old and 8.5 pounds.  Gem has a funny, silly personality and loves people.  She has been working hard on her house training and is doing pretty well.  Gem loves to get attention and while she came in with another dog, she might be happiest being an only dog with people that are around most of the time.  After a day of soaking in the love and snuggles, she puts herself to bed for the night.



Gem is just learning to walk on leash and isn't a long distance walker.  Her back legs are a bit weak; she has a low grade luxating patella, which is not uncommon in Chihuahua mixes. If you are looking for a hiking companion than Gem is probably not your gal, but if you want someone to go on leisurely strolls, and to soak in the sun with you in a local park, then she might be the one for you.



Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Gem is $300.
