Description:
April (TX) is a female mixed breed dog rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that April is 3 years old at the time of intake in January 2021. April is good with people and other dogs.  Life on the rough streets of Texas is hard enough, but not only was April desperately trying to survive, she had a litter of puppies who she was trying to keep safe.  AND April had a mangled leg which had become infected causing her severe pain.  April was not going to survive.  Day after day people walked past April, her puppies and her injury, until one day a Rescue Dogs Rock NYC volunteer walked past and stopped.  April and her puppies are now Rescue Dogs Rock NYC pups and their lives have taken a drastic turn for the better.  April is at our veterinary partner receiving specialty treatment for her injury, and she will soon be ready to breathe a sign of relief in her forever home and start living the pampered life she was destined to live.  If you can welcome April with open arms and never stop loving her, please apply online to adopt April (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.

RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption

Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
