Female - 2 years - 50 lbs - Microchipped - Spayed - FLHello! My name is Bella and I am a 2-year-old, 50 lb spayed female. I am already housebroken. I am not a fan of my crate, although my foster moms have been working with me to be ok when left alone. I am not destructive, but I would still prefer a home where someone is home most of the day as I bark and howl when alone.
I am going to need a patient home who understands I am fearful of new people and I will need time to adjust to my new family. I bond strongly to one person and with them I am very affectionate, sweet, and gentle. I want to be near them often. With new people, it will take a few visits before I am comfortable enough to approach them for treats or some pets on my terms—I don’t want them to approach me or I’ll run away to hide.
I have met some other dogs and have done well with confident, mellow dogs. I would likely enjoy such a dog as a companion. I will meet excitable or pushy dogs with a growl and showing some teeth as that is too much for me. I have a strong prey drive and cannot live with cats. I like my toys, especially the squeaky toys, balls, and chew toys! I will play fetch and would love a securely fenced-in yard where I can safely exercise.
I walk well on the leash if no one is walking behind us (or I get scared) and enjoy going for car rides. I know my name, sit, leave it, no, and get a drink. I may be fearful, but I am eager to please and want to learn. I need a family who will be dedicated to continuing to build my confidence and become the best girl I can be—could that be with you?

This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
