Available for adoption** Please read ❤ Kingston is a special dog, he isnt what most people want. He isnt perfect but he might just be perfect for you. He came to us from a rural area with no animal control. He was covered in wounds and suffering from heartworm disease. After months of TLC, and addressing all of his medical issues he is now ready to find his forever family. Kingston has been great with all other dogs of all sizes and he is also great with cats. He is a BIG strong guy on the outside but a scared boy on the inside. He lives in a home with 2 adults, 3 children(the youngest is 13) several dogs and a cat. Although he knows all of us he is still scared of everyone other than me. He LOVES me! He would be a excellent dog for a single woman or man or even a couple who doesnt have a really busy home. Although Kingston is fearful he is NOT fear aggressive. He needs someone patient who will give him lots of time to warm up. He is really such a awesome dog. I believe he never knew love before rescue. He didnt know what a toy was. I'd throw a ball and he would duck and run Now he goes looking for toys and loves them. He is as quiet as a mouse in a kennel and has never had a accident in my house. He is good on a leash when in his familiar area but he will pull when out of his comfort zone. Hes just been through a lot and is still very scared of the unknown, but I'm telling you he loves me and my house and will certainly love you the same if you just give him a chance :) He is neutered, treated for heartworms, microchipped, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. If interested and you are local to Shreveport Bossier, once approved we could arrange a meet and greet and trial adoption. He really is a good deserving boy.
