Hi there! My name is Bobby Hill but you can just call me Bobby. I came to Minnesota from a southern state where shelters are completely full and a family was nice enough to take me in! I was not doing well at the local shelter as I was so scared and needed time to meet people in a calm and relaxed manner. That being said I am quite friendly after getting in some sniffs and hey treats never hurt either! I am a fun boy that loves nothing more than to play. No really, I LOVE playing. Tug of war is my favorite but if you are too busy to play I am more than happy to sit next to you and chew on my toys. I am a big chewer so I need plenty to keep me happy but I never chew on things that aren't mine!!! Well...that is if the garbage can is covered. I have in the past found some goodies in there and I just couldn't help myself. I also don't swallow the broken toy pieces so you can trust me with toys in the kennel! I am potty trained, crate trained, I sit in a car nicely, I know sit, down, lay, and am working on shake and stay. I am a huge cuddler and will sit in your lap all day if you let me. I am crazy fast and my foster family things I would be amazing at doing agility. Not only am I fast but I love to be challenged and I am a really quick learner. We are working on my jumping ( Usually only one or two jumps (literally) and it's only when I first get out of my kennel for the day. I am so excited I just can't help it!) and barking. I do tend to bark when visitors first come by but it never lasts more than a few minutes. For this reason I would probably not be a good fit for an apartment building. If you are looking for a handsome, fun, energetic, and athletic dog I am your boy!! In the meantime if you have questions or are interested in me, please fill out an adoption application at www.ruffstartrescue.org.

An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal.  Please check out our website, www.ruffstartrescue.org for more details and additional pictures on any of our animals! All Ruff Start dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention (dogs) as well as heartworm tested (dogs).

Ruff Start Rescue is a foster based rescue. Animals are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a facility where animals are kept.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
