Linebacker is an American Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix boy that was born in April 2019 and weighs a compact 67 pounds.
Linebacker is still new to our facility, but he has already fit in with everyone so well. It is unfortunate that his previous owner could no longer care for him, but we are hoping to find him a new home where he can be the couch potato he wants to be. Linebacker is great on a leash and would be a great companion for hiking, camping, traveling, and just about anything else involved with his family. He loves to ride in the car and plays well with other dogs. From what we have heard about him, he is great with kids and appears to be potty trained. Linebacker does not enjoy being left outside by himself would prefer to be your “Netflix and Chill” buddy on the couch.
Much like so many other dogs in our community, Linebacker is heartworm positive and has just started treatment. He will be required to stay on crate rest/movement restriction for the following months until he can test negative. He is available for Foster-to-Adopt during his treatment meaning he can live with his future adoptive family. We will pay for any medicine or further treatments he may need and Pet Placement Center will help you every step of the way. Going into a home environment is the best thing while recovering. Plus, it is a great way to bond with a new family. We list Linebacker as "special needs" right now, but once he recovers from treatment and tests negative for heartworms, he will be cured!
The adoption fee is $90 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, test for heartworms & heartworm preventative medication, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter. If you are seriously interested in adopting please fill our our online application here:  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfbozisaFy7hl40bzaTL0fsqbm5w8gJ30twBp1mu4LXi0iHWw/viewform
