Dog's Name: Pepper Estimated Breed : Border Collie/beagle Mix Approximate Age: 3-4 years Approximate Weight: approx. 33 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $325 DOG'S DESCRIPTION Pepper is a total sweetheart who loves other dogs and people. Pepper gets along with everyone but the one thing that Pepper loves the most is Splotch. Splotch and Pepper were dumped together in partner shelter and Splotch is almost completely blind. It doesn't slow down Splotch at all and it's actually hard to notice because Splotch has his personal guide dog - Pepper. Pepper and Splotch are super happy bonded pair and they understand it will take a very special family to take on Splotch but they would love to stay together and find a loving home. They are petite 30 pounders, with good people and dog manners and depend on each other (particularly Splotch on Pepper). We are praying they will find a furever home together. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery, rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dogs also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
