Description:
Finn enjoys everyone he meets, and loves to show affection to his friends. Finn is a high energy fellow that would benefit from a lot of physical and mental exercise in his new home. Finn does tend to get very excited and will jump up to play, but once he has time to get his energy out he loves to cuddle. It is unknown how he would do with cats and he would probably do best in a home with older children, if there are children, since he still does get excited and like to jump up for attention. At this time Finn would benefit in a home as an only dog as his dog socialization skills still need to be worked on, he gets overwhelmed and over excited when he meets other dogs and currently does not have the proper etiquette when interacting with them. Finn has made good strides while at the shelter learning how to doggy socialize and would flourish in a home that will continue to work with him. If you are interested in potentially meeting Finn, please email the canine department to request an adoption application at jrein@carrollcountymd.gov. Once your application is approved we will go through the applications we have received for him to try and find the best match, at that time a meet and greet can be set up with the approved adopter. Finn's adoption fee is $200.00 and he is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines per shelter protocols as well as heartworm and tick tested. Finn currently weighs 54 pounds.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
