Help Reginald Kenneth Dwight get WHEELS and STUFF We are so excited to introduce you to Reginald Kenneth Dwight!!

Reginald is a 10 year old tiiiiiiiiny 3 lb chihuahua that came to us from San Jose animal care center.

Reginald is fabulous and wants everybody to know it! His personality shines brighter than a 2 carat necklace .

Reginald is paralyzed in his back legs but he does not let his differences get in his way. He is the happiest boy and loves everyone far and wide.

He did however come to us with sores on his back feet/tail and bum from not having adequate resources ( like dragbags and a wheelchair) to help him get around without hurting himself.

Now that he is in our care he is utalizing dragbags and a scooter. His sores are being treated and already look a WHOLE lot better now that they are protected from further damage and getting the proper treatment to help them heal.

Videos in comments of him using his dragbag and scooter for the first time

Reginald has the face, story and personality meant to bring smiles to people . Because of this he has his very own Facebook and Instagram page @the fabulous RKD

He would love if you followed him

Reggie has additional medical care that needs to be addressed before he becomes available for adoption. We will announce on his social media accounts when he is cleared and available.

For now we are asking for the communities help so that we can raise the funds to get Reginald his own wheelchair . He loves the scooter, but we need something that will work long term that fits him properly and is not too heavy for his tiny 3 lb body.

This #fivedollarfriday please consider making a donation to help us get Reginald the wheels he needs. He wants ever so badley to keep up with everyone else.

Donations can be made directly  in these ways abd are tax-deductible (EIN 45-4103375)

Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.
Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and given any additional treatments (dental work, bloodwork etc) as recommended by our vet.
Adoptions to veterans of the US Armed Services are ALWAYS free to thank you for your service.
We thank Well Pet Vet Clinic for providing most of our veterinary services and give a special thanks to volunteer photographers Tanya, Barbara, Kristy, Christine, Teressa and Natalie.  We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.
