Description:
Animal Profile: Blue Nip is a young, male, estimated 6 month old, Collie/Husky mix who joined us from a high kill shelter in CA on June 20th. He currently weighs about 45 pounds. The shelter reports that he is a friendly puppy. We will post more about him when we get to know him better in foster care.

Foster Update: Nip is settling in well and is an energetic, happy puppy. He is a total sweetheart, and hasn't met a soul he doesn't like. He likes other dogs, but he also gets very excited and always wants to play so he would love another active young dog. He's pretty good in the crate and will settle after a bit, though he would prefer to be Velcro dog if he could. He already knows sit and shake and is learning stay, lay down, leave it and walking on leash. Nip is very smart and picks up on things easily so we don't anticipate his training being an issue.

Nip is a big, exuberant boy who does really well with a firm leader and would love an active home, with or without another big, energetic dog and someone dedicated to his training as he is still a puppy.  While he is friendly with everyone, we do think he will be overwhelming for small kids so we will not be considering kids under 10 and no cats.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.

Animal History: This dog was rescued from euthanasia at a high-kill shelter in California and will be available for adoption in Seattle, once evaluated in a loving foster home in the greater Seattle area.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
