Things To Know About Flash and Scooter:

They must be adopted within 250 miles of Metropolitan Washington, DC area

They must have a fenced yard

They must stay on specialized diets

Hi. I am Flash and my brother is Scooter. We are two spunky, lively 3-year old litter-mates and we are looking for our fur-ever home.

We have never lived apart, so you must be willing to adopt both of us, but don’t worry because we will provide double the love. We love running around the fenced yard at our foster home. That's way better than walking on a leash. My brother, Scooter, wants to spend lots of time in your lap when he isn’t busy in the yard. I personally love being held and petted.

We do well with men, women and children, but we need to be introduced slowly to new dogs as we haven’t been around a lot of other dogs.

We are both crate trained and house trained as long as you are available to let us out routinely. We need our new family to help us improve our leash manners because no one ever taught us leash manners, but I am sure we can learn.

For additional information please contact my foster mom Lorrie (dachsielover@verizon.net)

The adoption fee for Flash and Scooter is $550. If they are adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge (for each dog) for a health certificate (required by law).

Transportation Help: If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
