Hello! I am  Henry  Hopper a suave, older gentleman who enjoys walks and snuggling on the couch. I love sleeping on the big bed and am learning that my foster mom’s chest is not the place to sleep. Since everyone should love me, I have no idea of what personal space is, and will climb all over you and others when I want attention.    

 

As a mature man, I have some aches and pains that cause me to be stiff in the morning and not enjoy being picked up very much. However, this is not a big issue as I love to jump on the couch, the big bed, anywhere where I can get near people or food. Speaking of food, I love my food and am willing to try anything, even food that is not mine off the coffee table.  

 

I like running around with toys, and am learning to share with others, however I like to play with the other dogs if toys aren’t involved. Younger children make me nervous and would love to have some older ones or adults to show how debonair I can be.  

 

If you’re looking for a sweet-natured mature chap to give you his undivided attention I am your man.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!
