Description:
Jax is only 7 months old and a big boy - 65 lbs.  His parents are very well bred and quite big.  His coloring is actually not chocolate and not quite "blue"   He is very handsome and well mannered, and full of energy!

He came from a lovely family of three boys and small dogs - just not enough time or space to accommodate his needs.  We are thrilled to have him at B&B.  In his forever home, he will need, like all puppies, proper respectful training, and when given, he will become an incredible, loving, and loyal companion.

He wants another dog he can exercise and play with.  His BFF at B&B was a tree walker coonhound - and we're betting that he'll have a great time with some of our beagle/coonhounds, like Ozark, Jaxon and Bingo - plus we've some really nice Shepherds and Malinois that are great people pals.

He is familiar with the leash and walking/running on it w/ his people leader.  Prime exercise time for dogs - early morning and early evening.  Nice and cool everywhere at those times and any dog worth his/her salt, will nap a lot during heat of the day.  Always have access to shade, cool water.....an occasional, "Good Dog!"

 Are you my furrever family?
For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.
Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and go up to $750. The higher end is for our most in demand dogs, such as young beagles and other purebred dogs. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. For puppies, we may go beyond this and charge $1000. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!
