Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, foster-based, 100% all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in North Carolina — over 4,000 lives saved since 2009.   We rescue cats and kittens from high kill shelters in rural North Carolina.

All of our cats and kittens are fulling vetted; we test for feline leukemia and FIV,  deworm, treat for fleas, vaccinate, spay or neuter, and microchip before finding these unwanted, helpless animals, permanent loving homes.

We are self-funded through adoption fees, donations, and fundraising events and have an annual budget of approximately $175,000.

Adoption events are held every weekend from 11:30 am - 3 pm.  We are proud to be a PetSmart Charities Adoption Partner and manage the PetSmart Adoption Centers in Wake Forest at 11835 Retail Drive and in Raleigh at Six Forks Station, 8825 Six Forks Road, and half-time at Capital Crossings, 2800 East Millbrook Road.

Looking for a special, dynamic duo? Look no further than Pongo and Paparazzi. It’s hard not to look at Paparazzi (calico) and fall in love 😻 She is absolutely adorable and will melt your heart. Paparazzi can only see light and dark shadows and movement. It’s hard to believe, though, because you will find her wrestling with her siblings, climbing the cat tree, and exploring constantly. She has no fear. She has a fascination with toys hung on doorknobs and looks like a little frog jumping to reach them. She looks like an Olympic gymnast leaping for the feather wand and we call her the Simone Biles of our foster cats.😻Paparazzi is constantly making her foster family laugh. She has a bit of a foot fetish and loves to play with your feet. She goes absolutely BONKERS for turkey sandwich meat. She loves to settle in for afternoon naps on your chest and will be a constant companion in your bed at night.♥Pongo (gray and white), like Paparazzi, is fearless! He loves to hop in the shower and play every morning with his foster mom, and he loves to attack the vacuum. He has the cutest little chirping trill, and it makes him even more adorable. We call him our resident dog. He loves to be with his humans constantly. He will follow you from room to room and just loves to be where the action is.♥Pongo and Paparazzi were part of a litter that was born with congenital eye issues. Pongo had one eye that had to be removed. It doesn’t slow him down, though, because his other eye is just fine. We also recently discovered that Pongo is deaf. This doesn’t stop him from talking to us or slow him down in any way. He tends to be a bit of a mouth breather and can get some air in his intestinal tract. This results in some gas occasionally. His foster family has gotten used to it and it has become quite the joke. Pongo is a sweet boy that plays hard and loves even harder, but he does love to stop and snuggle into your chest or lap for long love sessions.♥Pongo and Paparazzi must be adopted together. Paparazzi has very limited vision and can only see shadows and movements. She needs Pongo to be her companion and playmate in their new home. They need to go to a home with no dogs. Pongo and Paparazzi can climb up and down stairs, Paparazzi has been trained to stay away from open railing staircases and ledges in her foster home. In a new home she would need a blanket or screen placed over open railings for a few weeks to teach her where these areas are.♥Pongo and Paparazzi are often called the dynamic duo by their foster family. These two love to run, play, and cuddle and they’re hoping to find the perfect family to love them ♥For more information or to apply to adopt please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/
