Beautiful blue eyes and a soft white coat make this big boy a very attractive fellow that you might want to fall in love with!  But Alex is particular about people and will not be wooed by just anyone or any home!  He has found it rather difficult trying to fit in at the shelter after he was surrendered because his owner moved and chose not to take him with.  He has given us his list of wants in a new home and they are as follows.... NO other cats!  He is front paw declawed and he feels inferior to the other cats and in turn is on defense (even though he is in the room with the most gentle of kitties).  Older kids ONLY!  He doesn't want to be picked on or picked up for that matter and carried around.  He would however be ok if there was a calm dog in the home that is very cat friendly.  Being declawed means he doesn't have the ability to tell a dog to back off so any canine companion would have to be sweet as can be. He would also like pillows...big ones too that he can lay around in and take long cat naps.  He prefers those little fuzzy mice for toys and even though he doesn't have front claws he would still like a tall sturdy scratching post to stretch his legs on and enjoy the feeling under his paws.  While we strive to provide a positive and enriched environment for all of the pets in our care, some critters just are not suited for the shelter setting.  We feel that once out of the shelter Alex will be calmer and more at ease which in turn will make him a happier more cheerful guy.  Alex is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and FeLV/FIV negative. The adoption fee for Cats/kittens is free will to approved applicants. If you feel like you might be able to accommodate Alex's list of wants plus lots of patience and love, submit an application and we will see what he thinks!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
