BARN CAT PROGRAM: Cats that are not offered for general adoption are offered as `barn home adoptions` A suitable barn home would be a barn or an outbuilding (shed, garage, warehouse, etc.) that would provide adequate shelter for the cat/cats. All cats going to barn homes are spayed/neutered, Felv tested, rabies and distemper vaccinated and microchipped. By offering the cats for barn home placement, it allows them a positive outcome from the shelter. Cats being offered as barn homes are generally cats who have previously been outdoor cats, semi-feral, or feral cats.
