Sadly, I Was Not Socialized. William was born about June 1, 2018 and is a healthy, happy, cat that is wonderful with the other cats and the visiting dogs.  Sadly, he is very fearful of humans as he was not socialized as a baby.  Joyful Rescues is looking for a home for this kitty that someone will be very, very, patient and/or let him be himself.  He would never attack anyone, but would just run away.  We would also be willing to let him go to an inside/outside or decent barn "home".  It would be nice if there was another kitty to pal with as he's always been with others.  All medical care has been done and there will be no adoption fee.  It is very sad, but way too many humans turned kittens into us that they said were friendly that were not and now we are unable, at this time, to take more cats in.  We could sure use your help to place our now sanctuary cats that live at the main location in the basement/garage/outside.  They are good about using the litter box.  Thank you.   Prior to being released as a sanctuary cat he was neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and tested negative for FIV/FELV.  He is given flea control throughout the summers. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A CAT FROM JOYFUL RESCUES We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
