Description:
Floofy lion in search of forever home!

Goofy, nice, and a little bit of spice are the ingredients which make up the renowned Emerson. A staff favorite, this handsome man is looking for a forever home that can provide him with endless napping spots, head scritches and play time. Emerson is an immensely sweet kitty who prefers being close to you, whether that be laying on your desk or taking a nap next to you on the couch. He loves all the normal things a kitty would, including pets, treats and wand toys. Outside of the occasional burst of energy, Emerson generally has a very calm demeanor. He has his fair share of goofy goober moments, making him an endearing and lovable cat. Emerson can be a little particular about where on his body he gets pets, and it can vary from hour to hour, for which reason he would do best in a home without young children or other pets. Despite his finicky nature with pets, he truly is an affectionate kitty and would love to find a forever home where he can be spoiled rotten.

Besides being diagnosed as FIV+, Emerson will also need some dental work in the near-ish future at a full-service vet. He is also currently being treated for a condition known as "pillow foot" but has been really responding well to antibiotics. He's got a bit of a sensitive stomach so he's presently on Hills I/D to keep his stomach happier and healthier- and he eats it well!

**FIV is specific to the feline species, and is not transmissible to dogs, humans, or any other animals. It is spread from cat to cat via mating or deep puncture bite wounds. Thankfully, all our cats are spayed or neutered so mating is no longer an option! Since FIV does not spread through casual contact like grooming, sneezing, and food/litter sharing, FIV+ cats can live with other cats that have tested negative as long as the cats get along without fighting._____________________________________
