He&#39s good on a leash, great in the house, potty trained, crate trained, adores people, and is good with other large dogs. He hasn&#39t been around young children since coming to us, but has been around older children and is fine with them. He can be shy with new people when first meeting them, but warms up and shows you his whole heart.Around 3-4 years old, Max was born with a different rear right paw: two of the inside digits lay across the top of his paw. Our vet did X-rays (including his knee and hip, which are in great shape) and determined that leaving his paw as-is would be best for Max. He does sometimes lift up that paw, but the only solution would be removing the whole leg and our vet didn&#39t think that was necessary in order for him to live a normal life. Max loves going for walks, is great in the car, and is a nice, mellow, boy who likes his toys and, most of all, his people.The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
