Hi! We’re Ice and Rain (two and a half year old female)! We are an absolutely adorable bonded pair, which means that we are a package deal and will need to be adopted together. We spent much of the first part of our life living in a crawl space underneath a house. We’ve quickly adapted to our new lives incredibly well, though! We love squeaker toys, running around the back yard and playing together. We love long walks almost as much as we love swimming! We’re very food motived, so it makes training us a breeze. We are crate and house trained, whistle-recall trained and working on our sit/stay/lay down commands. In our previous home we were around a child and we did well. We haven’t been around any other children since coming into the rescue, but we love people, so a home with children should be okay. We haven’t been around cats, so we probably shouldn’t go to a home with them. Other dogs are okay, but we need proper/slow introductions and continued socialization. It’s only been the two of us for as long as we can remember and we simply haven’t been around other dogs very much. If you think you can offer us our furever home, please reach out to your adoption coordinator. If you do not yet have an adoption coordinator, please complete an adoption application at We are being fostered in Durham, NC. *Our volunteers process applications as quickly as they can, however it can take a little time. For this reason, the specific dog you apply for may not be available by the time your application is processed. If that happens we will do our best to find another perfect match for your family.*

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
